Aphyocharax rathbuni is an eye-catching tetra from central South America. Their green base colour, red flank patch, and white-tipped fins make them quite the high-contrast schooler indeed. Reaching about 1.5", these fish pair well with other schooling fish around the same size. Do be aware that these tetras have a reputation as fin-nippers; while keeping proper sized groups (we recommend at least 6 or more of this species) will help keep any aggression contained to the group, we would still avoid long-finned fishes such as guppies or angels.
These are juveniles around 0.75-1" long.
