Boulengerella lateristriga, also known as the striped pike characin or striped barracuda, is a species of predatory characin from northern South America. Despite being called "Barracuda", they are fully freshwater and not related to true marine Barracuda. While they will gladly eat any fish that fits in their mouth, they are quite peaceful with species too big to be seen as prey. They can be kept alone but also do not mind being kept in groups. This group is currently eating live foods, but can be conditioned to take frozen foods with a bit of perseverance.
