Hyphessobrycon megalopterus is a popular tetra species. Males are gray to black and develop large, showy fins that they flare up while sparring to impress females; the ladies are smaller but equally as beautiful with a reddish-gray body colour and bright reds in their fins. Watching the males "dance" as they display is incredible! They are quite hardy and pair well with most other peaceful fishes.
These are young adults around 1" long.
